Speed can be an illusion!

We often focus so much on our objectives that we forget to measure our growth. We might not notice that we are in a rut.

Running but not getting anywhere. Pause and evaluate your objectives and your journey. You need to learn the art of slowing down.

Micro poetry: The Art of Slowing Down

“Life sometimes
Seems to be a treadmill
I keep sweating and running
All day
Everything moves
But I am still.”

Slow down and enjoy life. It’s not only the scenery you miss by going too fast — you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.

Eddie Cantor

Do you wish you could just chill out and enjoy the ride? Well, you’re in luck, because there’s a solution for your problems: Zen.

Zen is not some mystical mumbo-jumbo that only monks and hippies can understand.

Zen is a practical and fun way to slow down, relax, and laugh at yourself. It teaches you how to be mindful, compassionate, and wise. Zen shows you how to appreciate life as it is, without being a drama queen or a control freak.

By following Zen principles in your daily life, you can learn to slow down and smell the roses. You can reduce stress, anxiety, and blood pressure. Improve your health, happiness, and sense of humour.

Zen does not confuse spirituality with thinking about God while peeling potatoes. Zen spirituality is just to peel the potatoes.

Alan Watts

You can discover your true self and your inner clown. You can master the art of living.

Find Peace and Productivity in a Hectic World

The world is a baffling place, and we are all just trying to survive.

We have to deal with deadlines, bills, traffic, pandemics, and annoying people. We barely have time to breathe, let alone relax and enjoy ourselves.

How can we find peace and productivity in such a chaotic mess?

One option is to pretend that everything is fine, and that we are in control of our lives. We can smile and nod, and act like we have it all figured out. We can ignore the problems and challenges that we face, and hope that they will go away.

This may work for a while, but eventually we will crack under the pressure, and end up in a nervous breakdown.

Another option is to embrace the madness, and make fun of it. We can laugh at ourselves, and at the absurdity of our situations.

We can use humour as a coping mechanism, and as a way to connect with others. By being playful, we can reduce our stress levels, improve our mood, enhance our creativity, and boost our performance.

Finding peace and productivity in a hectic world is not easy, but it is possible if you practice the art of slowing down.

“The ability to observe without evaluating is the highest form of intelligence.” – Jiddu Krishnamurti

Start by taking ourselves less seriously, and by finding joy in the small things. Seek support from others who can make us laugh, and who can cheer us up. By doing so, we can create a more fun and satisfying life for ourselves and others.
